General
Our gatherings are an hour and a half long but there's usually a good bit of socialising before and after as well, so it's worth expecting to be with us for about two hours.
Our gatherings are a mixture of super informal bits with lots of joy and slightly more structured bits. We do the same things each week so there's no weird surprises and there's no obligation to take part in anything you're not comfortable with, come and see!
Each week we:
- Play a short ice breaker game
- Share stories of what God has been doing this week
- Sing worship songs
- Make space for the Holy Spirit to speak and move
- Open the Bible often with discussion moments
- Offer prayer for healing and freedom
Plus plenty of food, drink, games and fun!
Absolutely, you won't be alone. Each week we expect there to be people at our gatherings who have yet to make their minds up about Jesus. We try our best not to use jargon heavy words or do anything that might make you feel like an outsider. You're welcome to come and see what all the fuss is about and ask all your questions
Come as you are—seriously. You'll see everything from jeans and trainers to smart casual. No one's judging what you're wearing; we're just glad you're here.
Central Site (St John's Church):

We love kids! Both sites run Kids Church during the service where children can explore faith in fun, creative ways.
Babies and toddlers are welcome to stay with you in the service, we create a space for them to play and you are welcome to stay in and take part (as much as you can!) Don't worry if they make a bit of noise, we're totally used to that, it's part of family life.
Kids Church is for primary school-age children. We start our gatherings all together as a family. We play a game and the kids have a chance to share what God's been doing in their lives before they go out to kids church for the majority of the gathering
Youth and Teens (secondary school-age) stay in our gatherings alongside the adults. This is deliberate: Research shows that teens who stay in the adults gathering have a much higher likelihood of thier faith reaching adulthood. We do everything we can to engage and involve them in Sundays including giving them a chance to lead and encouraging them to serve on teams alongside the adults
For more details, including what your kids will do and safeguarding info, check out the Kids & Youth section on our Sundays page or contact kids@gloucestervineyard.org
